Staff of the Department of Plant Health Management, Dr. E. F. Asawalam is participating in an International Exchange Programme at  Texas University, in the United States of America. The programme is organized and funded by USDA and lasts from August to December, 2010.

Earlier in June 2010, Dr. E. F. Asawalam and Dr. R. Eneje of the Department of Soil Science and Meteorology, participated in the International Conference of the Third World Organization for Women in Science (TWOWS) in China
