Dr. U.A.U. Onyebinama  a Senior Lecturer and foundation staff of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike has been bereaved of his father.

The Patriarch of the Onyebinama family  Hon. Emmanuel Ibechenjo Onyebinama was an alumnus of University of Nigeria Nsukka and a Deputy Chief Commercial Officer, Ministry of Commerce and Industries, Imo State.

The late Honourable was a former Vice Chairman and later Executive Chairman of former Owerri Local Government Area.

Until his death which occurred on Thursday the 22nd of July, 2010, he was an ardent Catholic and a member of various social organizations and pious societies. A requiem mass was held at St. Joseph Catholic Church Ohii, Owerri West Local Government Area, Imo State in his honour after which his remains were interred in his country home, Umuagwu in Ohii Autonomous Community on 13th August, 2010.

Large number of staff of MOUAU were in Ohii to commiserate with Dr. Onyebinama and his family.
